Application

Required application forms may be downloaded or printed directly from this site. Click on the appropriate links below (note: please print three copies of the recommendation form). If you have trouble viewing the forms, please click here to download Adobe Acrobat Reader (free software).

An application consists of the following documents:

• AMI Primary or Elementary Training Application form: download or print
• Personal Essay (in answer to questions on Application form)
• Resume
• Health Form: download or print
• Application fee for the 2010-11 Primary course: $100 USD (if submitted by February 15, 2010; the application fee will be applied to tuition; $100 U.S. if submitted after February 15, 2010)
• Application fee for the Three-Summer Elementary course: $100 USD (if submitted by February 15, 2010; the application fee will be applied to tuition; $100 U.S. if submitted after February 15, 2010)
• Foreign student processing fee (if applicable): $200
• Recommendation forms from the three people listed as references on the Application form: download or print (you will need three copies)
• *An original transcript from each college or graduate school attended

International Students

• *TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores (non-native speakers of English only-see course catalog)
• *Foreign applicants must submit college transcripts to WES for interpretation and a course by course evaluation (see course catalog)

*Items marked with an asterisk should be forwarded directly to Montessori Institute of Atlanta from the persons or institutions that fill them out for you. Do not have them sent to yourself. Persons writing recommendations should seal the Recommendation form in an envelope, sign it across the seal, and enclose it in another envelope to be returned to the candidate.

ALL PARTS OF AN APPLICATION SHOULD BE COMPLETE, AND SENT IN BY THE APPLICANT AT ONCE, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF TRANSCRIPTS, WES EVALUATIONS, AND TOEFL SCORES, WHICH ARE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE MONTESSORI INSTITUTE OF ATLANTA FROM THE CORRESPONDING INSTITUTIONS.

After admission, you will be asked to forward one (1) recent, passport-sized photograph.
